THE HEREDITARY BREAST AND OVARIAN CANCER SOCIETY OF ALBERTA


The HBOC Society a charitable, non-profit society, incorporated in Alberta in January 2002.  We are governed by a Board of Directors and supported by a Professional Advisory Council that provides expertise in medical, clinical and legal issues. 


Our Mission

We are dedicated to providing education and support to individuals, families and communities impacted by hereditary breast and ovarian cancer.


Our Values and Beliefs

  • We believe that individuals and their families impacted by hereditary breast and ovarian cancer should have timely access to quality health information and services.

  • We believe and respect that each individual has the right to choose their own path to well-being.

  • We believe in the value of support while respecting the privacy of individuals and their families affected by hereditary breast and ovarian cancer.
